Overcoming Your Fear on YouTube

It's been 2428 days since I first used video to connect with my community...

Here's what I know:
πŸ‘‰πŸΎ It's okay to be imperfect.
πŸ‘‰πŸΎ It's okay to make mistakes.
πŸ‘‰πŸΎ It's okay to struggle.
πŸ‘‰πŸΎ It's okay to do it afraid.

Through it all, I've made many mistakes, and things haven't always gone as I expected.

Some videos bomb.
Some videos look and sound weird.
Sometimes, I'm not the clearest in my delivery.
Sometimes, I get tired...and stop.

But through all of it, I can say that I'm proud of myself for being brave.

I was reading a post by Dr. Avis Jones-DeWeever,Ph.D. speaking about her first live event seven years ago, and she captured what I know to be true so well. By starting...

"In spite of the fears.

In spite of the uncertainty.

In spite of the mistakes, the missteps, and the challenges.

An imperfectly perfect new world opened up to me and those I serve.

If within you lives a new path,

πŸ‘‰πŸ½a bolder desire,

πŸ‘‰πŸ½a bigger dream,

πŸ‘‰πŸ½Along with the courage it takes to execute on that dream

Let this be your sign to take the first step."

Avis Jones-DeWeever,Ph.D., I 100% agree...It is worth it.

If you are ready to give yourself permission to start imperfectly,
just do it.

You just need to launch out.

You have what it takes.

Despite the fear, you have enough, and you are enough, just as you are.

And if you need help
✨ Figuring out what to say,
